Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for a backend developer role on your team. I build APIs and the data systems behind them, working mainly in Python and Node.js with PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS. I care about services that stay fast under load and correct when things go wrong.

Some of what I have built recently:

  • A centralized authentication service in Django with bcrypt password hashing, granular permissions, and JWT-secured service-to-service calls using HTTP-only cookies and strict refresh-token rotation.
  • A multi-tenant task management API with ACID-compliant transactions, dynamic filtering and sorting, and keyset pagination.
  • A file storage service that handles large multipart uploads and streams downloads directly to AWS S3, with metadata tracking and background jobs for media compression.
  • A low-latency URL shortener on Node.js and Redis built to handle high-throughput redirects without cache stampedes, and a FastAPI snippet service with cursor-based pagination and automatic expiry.

I am completing a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at SR Group of Institutions (SRGI), Jhansi (expected 2028), with a 9.2 SGPA and coursework focused on distributed systems, operating systems, and data structures and algorithms. I apply that grounding directly in my projects, and I am comfortable with the tooling around them: Docker, GitHub Actions, NGINX, and Linux.
